In order to be a great leader one must know how to be a
follower. This was the basic aim of the Speakers and Leaders Training (S.A.L.T)
held in Lourdes Parish church last June 12, 2012. PREX leaders and speakers
from different parish came to the said training to share insights about what to
impart to the participants during PREX seminars. The event was facilitated by
the CAAPS president, ate Alice Alcudia. Among the speakers were kuya Jgerms Caballo
who talked about the interrelationships of talks in the PREX seminars. He
pointed out the importance of sharing one’s personal experiences in the talks.
The training was highlighted by the lectures of Fr. Nestor
Soriano, Fr. Mike Fortich and Fr. Vic Amplayo on how to become evangelizers in
the gospel of life. Kuya Pax Pacana also gave a lecture during the said event.
He talked about how to prepare oneself as speakers and lead couple.
The event was then concluded by a brief open forum where the
participants were able to extend there concerns about possible conflicts that
leaders and speakers may encounter during the PREX seminars. The training was certainly
a learning-filled experience and the holiday was indeed a day to celebrate Independence as well as
the liberation we can acquired with God in our lives.
